New engines

New engines are original manufacturers supply, either to their dealer network or to a plant and equipment supplier for incorporation in their product. These engines will have manufacturer´s warranty and form part of a published product range with detailed specification and performance data.

From time to time Global Diesel is in a position to offer new products.

New surplus engines

New Surplus engines are not commonly available and arise as a result of over-production by the manufacturer or cancelled orders. Usually the surplus stock is sold by the factory to specified major franchised distributors who agree to take all the surplus; this enables them to sell at discounted prices. In these cases warranty may not be included.
Surplus product comes to the market and is regularly available through Global Diesel.

Remanufactured/rebuilt engines

Remanufactured/Rebuilt engines, there is a difference. In the case of remanufactured engines the work is carried out by the original manufacturer under a REMAN scheme. The manufacturer uses his own original core engine which is rebuilt using only genuine parts. The engine is then dyno tested to record performance under varying loads. A one year warranty is usually provided.

A rebuilt engine extends the working life at a lower cost than buying new. The work done will vary depending on engine condition and cost of the work. The rebuilders may not be ´´approved¨ by the manufacturer and after-market parts may be used in the rebuild.

Remanufactured or rebuilt engines come to the market and are regularly available through Global Diesel.

Used engines

Used engines are generally described as running take-out, complete core engines which may be suitable for rebuilding or scrap engines suitable for spares. The engines are sold by description agreed by the buyer and seller, normally without warranty. Engines are usually sold by full container load to spread the cost of transport.  Mechanical and Electronic engines can be sourced.

Global Diesel has access to most makes and models of American and European engines for export.
